Your expertise in robotics, PLC programming, and industrial automation will be crucial in delivering high‐performance manufacturing equipment and ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites.Why You'll Love Working Here:Employee Empowerment: A culture that empowers employees to take initiative and make impactful decisions.Diverse Projects: Work on a variety of projects across different industries, gaining broad experience.Mentorship Opportunities: Access to mentorship programs that help you grow both personally and professionally.Global Mobility: Opportunities for international assignments and transfers to broaden your career horizons.Ethical Practices: A commitment to ethical business practices and integrity in all operations.What You'll Be Doing:Program, debug, and commission PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion systemsTroubleshoot and optimize robotic cells, including vision and force monitoring systemsSupport design, build, and startup of automation equipment and assembly linesModify existing production equipment and develop new automation solutionsConfigure industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.)Develop or modify LabVIEW-based programs for automation systemsCollaborate with mechanical and electrical teams during design and implementationSupport equipment commissioning at customer sites and provide technical supportPrepare technical documentation including manuals, setup procedures,
and schematicsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performanceWhat We're Looking For:Technical diploma or degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in an automation or controls environmentExpert knowledge of PLC programming (Omron NJ, Allen Bradley)Experience with robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa, KUKA)Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with industrial controls, automation systems, and troubleshootingMust be able to train the first two months at our Ancaster facility with the eventual move to Mississauga.Bonus Points If You Have:Knowledge of SQL databases and related systemsExperience with electrical design tools (e.G., EPLAN)Experience in automotive manufacturing and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 environmentsWhat we offer:Johnson Electric offers talented people like you the opportunity to grow professionally and personally, surrounded by some of the most dedicated, creative, and entrepreneurial colleagues you will find anywhere.
