As a Physiotherapist, you will report to the Director of Care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Your primary responsibility includes assessing residents, implementing therapy programs, and educating team members on safe handling practices. The aim is to promote individual outcomes and well-being while adhering to best practices in person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess functional and cognitive abilities of residents
• Plan and supervise rehabilitation programs
• Perform assessments for mobility devices and seating
• Evaluate and document therapy outcomes
• Coordinate with care teams for individualized plans
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited physical therapy program
• Registered with the College of Physiotherapists in Alberta
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and safe transfer practices
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate equipment according to protocols
