The City of Iqaluit seeks a Finance Officer for Accounts Receivable and Property Taxation. This full time role involves billing and property taxation management to support financial operations.

As a Finance Officer, you will report directly to the Controller. This position necessitates three to five years of relevant experience in financial administration and a robust understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Key responsibilities include managing invoices, issuing property tax notices, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accounts receivable records.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly invoices and statements for AR accounts
• Issue Property Tax notices to customers and banks




• Maintain computerized AR and Property Tax sub ledgers
• Respond to customer inquiries efficiently
• Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports

Requirements:
• Grade 12 Diploma required
• Degree or diploma in Accounting or business administration
• 3-5 years of financial administration experience
• Relevant experience in computerized accounting systems
• CPA membership is an asset

This role is pivotal for managing property taxation and accounts receivable at the City of Iqaluit.
