This position will be based out of our Nanaimo location.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise the activities of the shop floor

Train technicians in installation methods, safety, policies and procedures

Perform maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice, and rail equipment

Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance

Their Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic

OR will be in their 4th year of their apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience

OR a combination of related education and work experience

Leadership and organizational skills

Hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge is a definite asset

Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics





The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment

The ability to work independently

Your own tools

Welding experience is a definite asset
