About the roleWe are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Citizen Remote Identity Verification team in Ottawa. This is an 8-month internship starting January 4, 2027. You will work with senior developers on the Entrust Identity as a Service platform. This role is hybrid.What you'll doDesign, develop, and maintain software applications with the development team.Build backend components using .NET Core and C#.Integrate AI-driven features into our applications.Use GitHub Copilot and similar tools to improve code quality and productivity.Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver high-quality code.What you'll needCurrent enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.4th-year students are preferred, though 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.Experience with React.NET Core,



and C#.Knowledge of AI development concepts and frameworks.Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices.Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.Experience with tools used to manage, build, and test code.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a collaborative setting with strong problem-solving skills.Attention to detail, time management, and planning abilities.Interest in learning new languages and frameworks.Location & detailsLocation: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).Term: 8 months, starting January 4, 2027.Employment type: Full time.Compensation: $23 to $28 per hour.
