In coordination with the local Head of Flight Training, they guarantee the compliance of instructor skills with regard to regulatory and financial constraints, and manage/optimize the entire skills management process, including notably:
Ensure effective annual planning and scheduling for instructors for their initial, recurrent, upgrading, and standardization training;
Optimize resource utilization (FSTD, instructors, etc.) in liaison with various stakeholders (planning department, resource managers, Head Instructor, etc.);
Ensure monitoring, updating, completion, and availability of training evidence and mandatory documents, including the management of instructor files (paper and digital format);
Manage online training registrations (e-learning) and certificate tracking for instructors;
Issue training certificates via MyTeam if necessary;
Administer the implementation and tracking of instructor skills (training evidence, tracking forms, skills updates in MyControlTower, etc.);
Ensure compliance of instructor training according to ATO manuals;
Ensure communication and notifications to authorities;
Generate and manage weekly/monthly data extractions from MyTeam (sessions, conflicts, skills, etc.).
The Skills Manager reports functionally to the local Head of Flight Training.
Other duties as an IT support administrator:
Ensure maintenance of Apple TVs and iPads for trainees and instructors;
Administer OBDS tools, Agile Source, etc.
