WORK SETTING Various locations
TASKS Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Mountain driving expertise
Professionalism in customer service
Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform preventive maintenance
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Transport and handle dangerous goods
