Candidates assist residents and patients in meeting their personal activity of daily living needs as identified within an established care plan.

Candidates exercise the appropriate Medium level of initiative and independent judgement in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters.

Job requirement

Candidates must have Minimum Grade 12.

Candidates must have 1 – 2 years’ experience working in a health care setting preferred.





They also must have 1 – 2 years’ experience preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients preferred.They must have effective verbal and written communication skills.

Work setting

Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Candidates must have the ability to provide care within a culturally appropriate manner.

They must be valuable at work and have an attendance record.

Candidates must be able to organise and prioritise assigned workload.

Candidates must have ability and willingness to work in stressful environments that may include aggressive and/or agitated individuals.

Candidates will have to work 7.75 hour shifts on daily basis.
