This role requires professional proficiency in both Japanese and English to support our diverse client base and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the practice. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of tax, payroll-related, and compliance engagements while working alongside experienced professionals and supporting a diverse client base.What you will doSupport tax and payroll-related client engagementsPrepare tax returns, filings, supporting documentation, and working papersMaintain accurate client files and engagement documentationCommunicate with Japanese-speaking and English-speaking clients to gather information and respond to routine inquiriesDraft and coordinate client correspondence in both Japanese and EnglishCollect, review, and organize data required for tax and compliance engagementsCollaborate with team members to meet client deadlines and project timelinesConduct tax research and utilize tools such as Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat to support client deliverablesWhat you bring to the roleFluency in both Japanese and English, including business-level verbal and written communication skillsProfessional experience in an office, corporate, accounting, tax, payroll, or professional services environmentStrong written communication, organizational,



and attention-to-detail skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe AcrobatClient-focused approach with a demonstrated willingness to learn and develop new skillsEducational background in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is considered an assetKnowledge of tax, payroll, Canadian payroll concepts, tax compliance activities, or tax return preparation is considered an assetKPMG Ontario Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $43,000 to $57,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
