Based in Sault Ste. Marie, ON , the Structural Designer will report to the Algoma Structural Manager and be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities. This is a new position and has a wage range of $32.00 - $39.00 hourly.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
Prepare preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for various structural engineering projects
Perform specification writing
Ensure plans are in compliance with applicable standards and drafting requirements
Undertake estimation of tender quantities
Conduct inspection and contract administration of structural engineering works
Complete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations

What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have a college diploma from a Civil Engineering Technician or Technology program or similar (or equivalent experience). Additionally, you should bring:
You have 10+ years experience working in a related role, with at least 2 years experience in the design and construction of structural engineering works
You have experience in the use of analytical and design software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience in the use of Total Station and GPS Survey Equipment would be considered an asset
OACETT C.E.T, C. Tech., or Arch. Tech. designation would be considered an asset
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid Class G driver’s licence
