Join The Salvation Army team as a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals. This full-time role focuses on food safety and meal preparation in an impactful environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing meals that adhere to Canada’s Food Guide and follow Dietician-approved menus. Key skills for this role include food safety practices, diverse cooking methods, and inventory management. You will work in a kitchen setting and collaborate with the Head Cook or Manager to ensure meals are served safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals according to guidelines
• Ensure Food-Safe practices during preparation
• Use various cooking methods for menu items
• Collaborate on inventory management procedures
• Record temperatures and manage food supplies
Requirements:
• Red Seal Certification required
• One year of industrial kitchen experience
• Food Protected Level 1 and 2 preferred
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification
• Satisfactory Police Information Check
