Sooke School District #62 is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to enhance student communication and support elementary students with speech-language delays. This role involves assessment, intervention, and collaboration within an inclusive education framework.
As a full time Speech Language Pathologist, you will report to the District Principal/Vice Principal, Inclusive Education Services. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and is committed to fostering student growth through effective communication and collaboration. You will support various schools and educational teams throughout the district, focusing on multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for students in need of speech-language intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students
• Collaborate with school teams and families for effective support
• Provide in-services on inclusive education topics
• Work with complex communicators and AAC systems
• Implement strategies aligned with BC Ministry of Education policies
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Active membership in the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
• Experience with complex communicators and AAC
• Knowledge of inclusive education policies
• Valid BC Driver’s License for district travel
