IRATA Journeyperson Insulator – 14/14 Rotation
MSCP is seeking a qualified Journeyperson Insulator with IRATA Rope Access certification to join our field team in the Fort McMurray area .
This is a fly-in/fly-out position working a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation , with 11.5-hour shifts . The successful candidate will perform industrial insulation work utilizing rope access techniques while supporting the safe and effective execution of MSCP's integrated Heat Management Systems .
This chance is well suited to an experienced industrial insulator who is comfortable working at height, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of insulation integrity within a complete heat management system.

Responsibilities
Insulation & Rope Access Execution
Install, maintain, repair, remove, and reinstall industrial insulation systems on piping, vessels, tanks, and equipment.
Perform insulation activities using IRATA rope access techniques where conventional access methods are impractical or unavailable.
Safely perform work at height in accordance with IRATA requirements, site procedures, and MSCP standards.
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, work packages, and applicable installation requirements.
Ensure insulation systems are installed in accordance with project specifications and client quality standards.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail throughout execution.
Heat Management System Support
Work collaboratively with electrical, heat tracing, rope access,
and other field personnel to support complete system integrity.
Understand the relationship between insulation performance and the overall effectiveness of heat management systems.
Coordinate activities with other trades to support efficient and timely execution.
Planning & Field Execution
Maintain readiness for assigned work scopes.
Ensure required materials, tools, equipment, and rope access systems are available and appropriate for the work.
Identify and communicate field constraints, access issues, material requirements, or other conditions that may affect execution.
Contribute to the efficient completion of assigned work scopes during each rotation.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all MSCP, client, site-specific, and IRATA safety requirements.
Participate in daily toolbox meetings, FLHAs, and other required safety activities.
Maintain a high level of awareness for personal and team safety, particularly while working at height.
Inspect and properly use required PPE and rope access equipment.
Complete work in accordance with company, client, regulatory, and IRATA requirements.
Qualifications
Journeyperson Insulator certification
Current IRATA Rope Access certification – Level 1, 2, or 3
Industrial insulation experience, preferably within oil sands, refinery, petrochemical, or similar environments
Demonstrated experience performing insulation work using rope access techniques
Ability to safely and effectively work at height
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications,
and work packages
Strong understanding of industrial insulation systems and field execution
Strong work ethic and ability to contribute within a team-oriented environment
Ability to successfully complete applicable site-access, training, and pre-access requirements
Experience with or interest in integrated Heat Management Systems is considered an asset
Rate: $56.00/hour blended rate
Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off
Shift: 11.5 hours per day
Travel: Fly-in/fly-out
Location: Fort McMurray area, Alberta
