At ALS, the Senior Metallurgist is key in overseeing projects and mentoring Junior Metallurgists. Responsibilities include ensuring metallurgical balances, communicating critical data to clients, and conducting in-depth analysis of test programs. You'll also prepare comprehensive reports and present data in meaningful formats for project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project bids and supervise metallurgical testing
• Directly communicate with clients and lead project reviews
• Analyze and report on metallurgical data post-testing
• Mentor and oversee Junior Metallurgists in their work
• Participate in safety audits and represent ALS at industry events
Requirements:
• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 8 years in laboratory and operations experience
• P.Eng. designation is required
• Solid leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
