About You / What WeAre Looking For
Are you passionate about gardening and excited about working withcommunity volunteers to bring Coquitlam Parks alive? Do you enjoy working withvolunteers and creating hands-on opportunities for the community to connectwith gardens and green spaces? If so, this position is for you!We are currently looking for twoRegular FullTime Parks Partner Program Coordinators to join our ever growing Parks and Capital Projects team. As the Parks Partner Program Coordinator, youwill coordinate and deliver a variety of community gardening and park engagementprograms and projects. This will include developing program content andmaterials, coordinating schedules and activities with staff and externalpartners, and monitoring and evaluating programs to ensure they meet communityneeds.
You Will recruit, orient and support volunteers who assist withgardening and park engagement projects, while building strong relationshipswith internal staff, community partners and the public.
As well, you will perform a multitude of parks maintenance tasks, includinggardening, and maintenance duties using a variety of tools such as powermowers, cultivators, leaf blowers and power saw. You will ensure proper upkeepof floral, lawn and related areas in Coquitlam parks.

Qualifications
High school diploma supplemented by completion of a horticulture certificate or diploma.
At least three years ofexperience in general parks maintenance and gardening work and volunteercoordination. Please note that an equivalent combination of training andexperience may be considered.
Ability to work non-standard hours including afternoon,evening and weekend work.
Driver’s License for theprovince of BC.
What We Offer:
T his CUPE position has an hourly rate of $38.45.
The rate of pay is based on a variety of factorsincluding qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
