The Dietary Aide participates in Continuous Quality Improvement processes as a team member in assessing quality and making recommendations for improvement.Requirements:Education and Experience:Secondary School Diploma or equivalentRelated experience in the food service industryCurrent Food Handling Certification mandatory and maintained throughout employmentFood Service Worker Certificate preferredPrevious experience in a hospital or long term care facility food service setting and knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferredSkills & Abilities:Ability to read, understand and interpret oral and written instructionsRelate in a respectful, tactful and sensitive manner with patients, staff and visitorsWork both independently and as a member of a teamFlexibility to modify routines as required to manage changing prioritiesGood attendance and availability required
