Enhance mental health care as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with Island Health. This full-time, temporary position requires expertise in mental health assessments and treatment methodologies across multiple sites.
As part of the adult mental health services team, you will provide essential clinical services to adults facing severe mental health challenges. Your role will involve working in both hospital and community settings, ensuring continuous care and supporting local agencies. Engagement in service development and committee representation will also be key components of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical services to adults with severe mental illness
• Provide consultation and education to community agencies
• Participate in mental health service development initiatives
• Represent mental health services at various committees
• Collaborate with teams to improve patient care
Requirements:
• Registration with BC College as RN or RPN
• 2-3 years’ experience in adult mental health
• Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies
• Valid driver's licence required
• Solid interpersonal and judgement skills
