Job DescriptionCAMH is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) to provide direct clinical care, behavioural assessment, and intervention services across the program FSUB.Reporting to the Manager and working as a member of an interprofessional team, the Behaviour Analyst applies evidence-based, data-informed approaches within a bio-psychosocial framework. The role includes conducting functional behavioural assessments, designing and implementing interventions, facilitating skill-building programs, and evaluating treatment outcomes.The Behaviour Analyst also supervises unregistered or provisionally licensed staff, ensuring high-quality care is provided, contributes to program development, provides training, and participates in research initiatives. Work may occur in inpatient, outpatient, or community settings, including forensic and neurodevelopmental populations.Key ResponsibilitiesBehavioural Assessment & EvaluationConduct functional behavioural assessments (FBA), preference assessments, and skill evaluations tailored to individual client needsMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment plans as requiredBehavioural Intervention & Program ImplementationDesign and implement evidence-based, function-based interventions and skill-building programsFacilitate therapeutic, skills-based, and psycho-educational groupsSupport clients in achieving individual treatment goals using data-informed practicesInterprofessional CollaborationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated care plans and evidence-informed recommendationsProvide guidance and updates to clinical staff regarding interventions and outcomesLiaise with CAMH services, community agencies, and external clinicians to coordinate careSupervision & Staff DevelopmentSupervise behaviour analysts under supervised practice and unregulated ABA providersProvide education, mentoring, and training to staff, students, and team membersEnsure high-quality care is maintained across all direct and delegated servicesProgram Development & Capacity-BuildingContribute to the design, evaluation, and enhancement of programsParticipate in research, quality improvement,
and capacity-building initiativesClient & Family SupportEngage with clients and families to provide education, support, and guidance regarding interventionsAdapt interventions to meet diverse client needsWorkplace Compliance & SafetyAdhere to all regulatory, legislative, and organizational policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, inclusive, and collaborative workplace environmentDemonstrate flexibility to work in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, including evenings and weekends as requiredQualifications/RequirementsPost-graduate degree in Behaviour Analysis or a related field - Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPBAO) in positive standing –For Registered Behaviour Analyst applicants not yet in independent practice, who are required to practice with clinical supervision, CAMH, in its discretion, will pre-arrange this formal supervisory relationship with the clinical program as a condition of hire, based on capacityCAMH reserves the right to assess if supervision capacity allows for candidates who are registered with the college under supervised practice.Minimum 2 years experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, or dual diagnoses - Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, with a moderate to high level of mental and sensory concentration - Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as required - Capacity to supervise staff under supervised practice and unregulated ABA providers.
