Lead construction projects remotely with SmartStop Self Storage, managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relations across Canada. This role requires regular travel to oversee site progress.

SmartStop is seeking a skilled Construction Manager, reporting to the EVP of Canada. With a focus on project lifecycle management, you will negotiate contracts, monitor costs, and ensure projects adhere to schedules. The ideal candidate has robust experience in multi-site locations, especially in self-storage, and excels in communication and organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and issue contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
• Monitor project costs and adjust contracts as necessary
• Develop strategies for schedule or budget recovery




• Prepare contractor progress draws and invoices promptly
• Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve project disputes

Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management
• Five years of direct construction management experience
• Multi-site project experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and passport necessary
