This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal environmental conditions to support operational efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across greenhouse, production, and storage environmentsMonitor, maintain, and optimize environmental control systems, including temperature, humidity, ventilation, and airflowDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement timely and effective corrective actionsExecute preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset lifespanOperate and troubleshoot automated systems, including sensors, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)Ensure proper air quality, filtration, and environmental conditions are consistently maintained across the facilityCalibrate and maintain thermostats, humidistats, and environmental monitoring equipmentInterpret technical drawings, schematics,



and equipment manuals to support installation and repairsMaintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentationEnsure adherence to all safety standards, environmental regulations, and site-specific biosecurity protocolsProvide technical guidance and training to operations staff on HVAC system functionality and best practicesSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including energy efficiency and system optimization projectsRequiredQualifications and Education RequirementsDiploma or certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related fieldValid HVAC/refrigeration license (as required by provincial regulations)Minimum 5 years of experience in an HVAC roleStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsDemonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systemsIntermediate skills in Microsoft OfficeDue to the nature of the business and working with controlled substances, all new employees will be required to complete a background check prior to starting work.
