Our team oversees tasks like curbside collection, seasonal leaf and brush removal, and safe disposal of hazardous materials, protecting both residents and the environment.What You'll Do...Drive and operate, recycling, organic and garbage vehiclesCollect, load and unload, leaf, brush, garbage, organics and recyclablesCheck, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment and report any malfunctions to the SupervisorWork in compliance with the Highway Traffic Act and the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any deficiencies, unsafe situations or conditions to the SupervisorWork in the spirit of team participationPerform varied tasks and duties within the Solid Waste Division as requiredTo qualify, you'll need...**This position receives 4% in lieu of vacation + 13% in lieu of all advantages in addition to hourly rate of pay**High School (Grade 12) diploma or equivalentTwo (2)



years experience driving and operating commercial vehicles and performing labour intensive dutiesPossess and maintain a valid DZ License, with a satisfactory driver's abstract of no more than 3 demerit pointsPreference will be provided to those candidates with experience as a driver labourer in the waste collection industryQualified candidates will be contacted and required to pass the associated written and driving tests in order to move onto the interview.
