Provide essential support to young learners at Waterloo Region District School Board's Before and After School program. This role focuses on guidance, care, and play-based programming for students from junior kindergarten to grade 6.

As a B.A.S.S. employee, you will collaborate with a Designated Early Childhood Educator in a vital role that enhances children's social skills, exploration, and self-regulation. The position requires you to create inclusive environments, fostering positive interactions among children, parents, and staff while following all child care licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the DECE in classroom operations
• Encourage positive child interactions through play
• Facilitate child-initiated exploration and inquiry




• Communicate with parents about children's progress
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience supervising children in a positive manner
• Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED certification
• Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
• Commitment to inclusive and anti-oppressive practices
