In this role, you'll work alongside our earthworks, heavy equipment, and carpentry crews, providing hands-on support to keep construction activities moving safely and efficiently.We're looking for individuals with experience in heavy civil construction, earthworks, or pipeline projects who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and take pride in being a reliable member of the crew.Join the True Blue Ledcor team!Learn more about working at Ledcor – watch hereEssential ResponsibilitiesProvide general labour support to earthworks, heavy equipment, and carpentry crewsAct as a spotter for heavy equipment operators, helping ensure the safe movement and operation of equipment around workers, structures, excavations, and other site hazardsAssist Heavy Equipment Operators with earthworks activities including excavation, backfilling, grading, and material placementSupport carpenters with concrete and formwork activities, including moving materials, site preparation, stripping forms, and general cleanupAssist with excavation activities and work around trenches and other active earthworks areasInstall and maintain barricades, signage, fencing, and other work‐area controls as requiredPerform hand digging, shovelling, raking, compacting, and other physical construction activitiesAssist with the placement and movement of construction materials, tools, and equipmentOperate small hand and power tools as requiredMaintain clean and organized work areasIdentify and communicate site hazards to supervisors and crew membersFollow directions from supervisors, equipment operators, carpenters, and other tradesMaintain Ledcor's high standards for safety, quality, and productivityundefinedQualificationsPrevious experience working as a Labourer on heavy civil, earthworks, pipeline, mining,



or industrial construction projectsExperience spotting for heavy equipment is strongly preferredFamiliarity with excavation, backfill, grading, compaction, and general earthworks activities is an assetExperience supporting carpentry, concrete, or formwork crews is an assetAbility to understand and follow hand signals, radio communication, and directions from Heavy Equipment OperatorsExperience using common construction hand and power toolsPhysically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, carrying, shovelling, and working on uneven terrainMust be able to provide valid government‐issued photo identificationMust successfully complete pre‐access drug and alcohol testingValid CSTS-09, CSTS-2020, or CSO ticketMust successfully complete all required project‐specific online orientationsWork ConditionsExperienced applicants that reside locally and in the surrounding areas will be given priorityWork schedule: 14 days on, 7 days offDay shift and night shift opportunities availableExtended health benefits provided through CLACWeekly payment of wagesTravel allowance and Living Out Allowance (LOA) provided for those eligibleCompensation$27.06 - $40.58 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position.
