1.0 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR – Cree Language & Culture Competition # 27-18B (3rd Posting) Recognizing the importance of providing an enriched learning environment to support children’s physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development in preparation for life-long learning, the Board is seeking one qualified Early Childhood Educator. Under the direction of the Principal of Ministik School, Early Childhood Educators work in professional partnership with school administration, teachers, educational assistants, and parents to provide educational programming for students, as well as to assist in maintaining a smooth and productive operation of the school in general.



Applicants must be physically fit and should have or be willing to obtain training and certification in Behaviour Management Systems training to support accepted behavioural strategies; Applicants must be willing to obtain specialized training for supporting students through board sponsored courses, conferences and/or workshops.

Preference will be given to applicants with proof of registration and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, an Early Childhood Education diploma, post-secondary education and training and/or experience working with school age children. Ability to speak and write the Cree Language in the ‘L’ dialect considered an asset. Permanent, upon successful completion of probationary period.
