We are looking for reliable, safety-focused Standby Operators to join our team and provide coverage for scheduled and unscheduled operator absences. Responsibilities

- Safely operate assigned vehicles in accordance with Care Calgary policy and traffic regulations
- Provide courteous, professional, and compassionate service to all passengers, including those with mobility needs
- Assist passengers with boarding, securement, and exiting, including the use of accessibility equipment
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and required documentation
- Follow assigned routes and schedules
- Respond to changing shift needs on short notice

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class 4 driver's licence




- Clean Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- No more than 3 demerit points on your driver's licence abstract
- Ability to work 3 days per week, which must include at least one weekend day or night

Assets

- Previous accessible transit experience

Work Schedule

- Shifts are 10 to 12 hours in length
- Standby availability of 3 days per week, including one weekend day or night
- Shifts are not guaranteed, and the number of shifts offered will vary based on operational needs
