Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager for a 6 month contract.

Location: 5 days on site in Scarborough

About the Opportunity

- Lead the 5-business day month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
- Monitor profitability by business unit, service line, or project.
- Oversee job costing, labour costing, and overhead allocations.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures.
- Manage sales tax filings and related regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate external audits and year-end financial requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team.
- Improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

About You

- 6+ years of accounting experience – month end, financial statement prep, full cycle
- Construction industry experience – WIP, percentage of completion, revenue recognition, lease accounting, cut-off procedures
- CPA is strongly preferred but not required
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting is an asset but not required
- Exposure to US GAAP is an asset but not required
