Our client, a leading construction organization, is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team in Richmond, BC . This is a great prospect for an accounting professional with experience in a general contracting environment who is looking to build on their project accounting experience within an established organization. Permanent, full-time position ~5 days per week on-site in Richmond, BC ~ Continuous learning and professional development opportunities ~ Review project-related contracts and subcontractor documentation to ensure project setup and accounting procedures align with contract terms and conditions.

Collect, reconcile, obtain approval for, and process subcontractor payments, general expenditures, internal payroll costing allocations, and other project-related financial transactions. Prepare and assemble client billing packages in accordance with established processes and approval requirements. Maintain accurate and timely project cash flow information, including current and forecasted data.

Assist the Project Manager with monthly financial reporting for owners, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Support the project team by identifying financial issues,



reconciling discrepancies, and helping develop practical solutions. 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience. ~ Previous experience performing accounting functions within a general contracting/construction environment is required. ~ Experience supporting larger-scale construction projects with a major or well-established contractor is considered an asset. ~ Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. ~ Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; Power BI experience is an asset. ~ Experience with AS400/IBM systems is an asset but not required, as training will be provided. ~ Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a project environment. ~ Must be comfortable working 5 days per week on-site in Richmond, BC.
