As the Project Accountant you are responsible for the accurate and timely entry and reporting of data in the company financial systems.
You will be responsible for: accounts receivable, subcontract management, payroll, equipment time entry, accounts payable, month end and key financial reporting/analysis. You will partner with management and project teams, through effective communication, to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data, while also helping them to leverage that data to enhance business performance. You are forward looking, have a big picture mentality and are focused on continuous improvement in order to make Ledcor an even stronger organization.
Support cost reporting, forecasting, and strategic analysis while implementing effective project cost control processes Interpret and communicate contractual and commercial terms, ensuring alignment with project requirements and obligations Prepare and present project reporting, financial insights, and key performance information to project leadership Support the development and implementation of collective agreements and related commercial requirements Process electronic billing submissions, reconcile client billing systems, and make adjustments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing Monitor outside rental agreements against contractual requirements and coordinate with field teams and payroll to ensure timely and accurate time entry Partner with Project Management and field teams to identify potential change orders, manage subcontractor activities, and support commercial project administration Prepare month-end journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and close-out activities Experience within commercial construction or a related industry is preferred Financial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates,
equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysis Working knowledge of construction accounting principles preferred Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) This is a hybrid position, working 2-3 days per week in the office with the possibility of additional in office presence increasing due to business needs.
