As our recent Acoustics Consultant/Engineer, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. Technical + Project Work Conduct environmental noise and vibration assessments including noise permitting for industrial/ manufacturing facilities, land use planning, transportation noise for road, rail and aircraft acoustic and vibration measurements, analyze data, and develop modelling predictions. Conduct field measurements in challenging environments throughout the year; Prepare transparent, high quality technical reports and supporting documentation.
Assist with instrumentation setup, maintenance, calibration, and software applications used in acoustics, noise, and vibration studies. Work closely with consultants, engineers, project managers, and technical specialists across SLR's "One Team" workplace. Contribute to SLR's strong industry reputation through excellent delivery and relationship building.
Project & Business Exposure Monitor your utilization goals and contribute to the financial success of project work. Support business development efforts, including preparing proposals,

Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, physics, or related studies. is an asset. 3-8 years' experience in acoustics, noise, and vibration consulting is considered an asset.
Experience with acoustic modelling tools (e.g., Insul, CadnaA, CATT, Odeon, EASE, SAP2000, Visual Basic, MATLAB or Python for signal processing) is an asset. Knowledge of provincial, local, and industry specific regulations and guidelines. Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically to job sites.
