Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly, verifying invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing by collecting timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring timely payments.
- Conduct account analysis to monitor financial health, prepare reports, and support budgeting efforts.
- Manage general administrative duties including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and document management.
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, ledger reviews, and financial summaries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of accounting practices related to budgeting and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all financial documentation.
- Prior experience in administrative support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
