Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Within the context of a client service culture, and in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, performs a variety of administrative and secretarial support functions for the Administrative Manager and designated program team members. Duties include screening incoming materials, drafting correspondence, typing a variety of technical and non-technical documents utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and graphic software, maintaining database of accounts, preparing cheque requisitions, compiling reports on statistical information, and processing timekeeping records for designated team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized Office Administration Certificate Program, plus three years’ recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Knowledge and proficiency in relevant software. (Word, Excel, graphic applications)
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to Business writing skills
Ability to type at 50 wpm.
Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
Ability to do basic mathematical calculations
Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients
Ability to operate related equipment.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
