We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and hard-working Customer Service Representative (CSR) & Animal Care Assistant (ACA) to join our veterinary team! In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring every client and patient receives the highest level of care and service.
You will work closely with our veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to support daily clinic operations, provide outstanding client communication, assist with patient care, and help maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional environment.
Responsibilities include
Customer Service & Reception
- Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
- Handle phone calls, appointment scheduling, and client inquiries efficiently and accurately.
- Process payments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate client and patient records.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding procedures, follow-up care, appointment reminders, and clinic services.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during routine visits and other patient-care situations.
- Support the team with general administrative duties and maintain a clean, organized reception area.
Animal Care Assistant (ACA)
- Provide compassionate, safe, and attentive care to hospitalized or visiting patients.
- Safely handle and restrain animals as required for examinations, treatments, and routine care.
- Assist veterinarians and RVTs with patient preparation, treatments, procedures, and other clinical tasks within the scope of the role.
- Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, equipment, and other clinical spaces according to hospital protocols.
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere within the clinic.
Education & Experience
- 1 years of experience in a veterinary customer service role
- Veterinary Assistant, Animal Care Assistant, or equivalent animal-care education/certification is an asset.
- Cornerstone software experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable handling and caring for dogs and cats
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative veterinary team.
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
