Location: Ottawa, Canada (on-site) Reports to: Production Manager Built to withstand some of the harshest environments on Earth, our instruments are deployed from the ocean’s deepest trenches to the polar ice caps, capturing essential data on water temperature, salinity, pH, and more. We are looking to hire an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a full-time permanent day shift position.

In this role, you will report directly to our Production Manager and be responsible for producing high-quality products. As part of a small team of technical experts, you must be dedicated, an effective communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced workplace. This position follows a Monday to Friday day shift schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.

Build high-quality electromechanical assemblies Read through process documentation, bills of materials (BOM), drawings and electrical schematics to ensure accurate assembly of our products Perform high-quality soldering using soldering tools, a microscope,



and other equipment Collaborate within a fast-paced team environment to drive process improvements and cross-training initiatives. Mechanical and electronics assembly experience ~ Highly competent in the use of assembly tools, crimping tools, automated equipment, and multimeters, with good hand-eye coordination for small, sensitive components ~ Strong mechanical aptitude ~ Demonstrated experience with fine soldering and high-precision work ~ IPC-A-610 and J-Standardcertification would be a strong asset ~ Proficient with computers as well as the capability to learn various programs a must ~ 20 days of vacation, plus a company-wide holiday shutdown and paid sick days Company-wide bonus program EV reimbursement program + on-site charging stations Dog-friendly office (recently launched) Team events and social activities Purpose-driven customers – Partner with organizations making a meaningful difference in science, sustainability, and the world At RBR, we celebrate and support diversity in our workplace, we are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
