DLegal Law Office is a growing boutique firm in South Calgary, and we are looking for an Associate Lawyer with 1+ years of Alberta practice experience who wants to build a strong Family Law practice while developing as an advocate.

This role offers something we believe matters early in a lawyer’s career: real responsibility, direct client relationships, meaningful advocacy experience, and access to experienced lawyers when you need guidance.

You will manage your own files, develop strategies with your clients, appear in court, negotiate resolutions and take ownership of your work—within a supportive team and established firm systems.

The role is primarily focused on family law. However, depending on your interests and experience, there may also be opportunities to work in other areas of the firm’s practice.

The successful candidate will manage files independently, work directly with clients, and take responsibility for strategy, communication, and matter progression.

Responsibilities

- Manage family law files independently from intake through resolution
- Advise and represent clients in separation, divorce, parenting, support,



and property matters
- Prepare agreements, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Conduct negotiations and attend court and dispute-resolution proceedings as required
- Work collaboratively with clients, legal assistants, and other lawyers

Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Experience practising family law in Alberta
- Ability to manage files independently
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Professional judgment, organization, and strong client communication skills

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual compensation of $100,000–$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications
