About the Opportunity
We are looking for researchers, Master's graduates, students, policy enthusiasts, and early-career professionals to join our network as Associate Members / Policy Contributors.
Contributors will research and write policy news, analytical articles, research notes, and policy briefs covering emerging developments in Canada–EU relations, European digital regulation, artificial intelligence, digital currencies, trade, and technology policy.
This is a voluntary, unpaid position designed for individuals who want to develop practical policy research and writing experience and build a professional publication portfolio.
Areas of Research
Contributors may focus on topics including:
- Canada–EU relations and regulatory cooperation
- Canada–EU trade and economic policy
- European Union foreign and economic policy
- Digital Euro and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs)
- EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act)
- AI governance and technology regulation
- Digital finance and FinTech regulation
- Data governance and digital sovereignty
- Cross-border payments
- Financial and monetary policy
- EU and Canadian technology policy
- Digital markets and emerging regulation
- Canada–EU cooperation on technology and innovation
Responsibilities
Associate Members / Policy Contributors may:
- Monitor and research recent policy and regulatory developments.
- Write policy news articles and analytical commentary.
- Prepare policy briefs and research notes.
- Use primary sources from governments, parliaments,
central banks, and international institutions.
- Track developments from Canadian and EU institutions.
- Fact-check and verify sources and references.
- Contribute ideas for new research topics.
- Participate in editorial review and research projects.
- Support the development of our policy research library.
- Collaborate with other researchers and contributors.
What You Will Gain

Position Terms
This is a remote, unpaid volunteer position.
It is not a salaried or paid employment position, and no monetary compensation is provided.
