We are currently looking for a motivated and organized Automotive Service Advisor to act as the primary link between our customers and our expert service technicians.
Role Overview
As our Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the face and voice of our shop. You will greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, coordinate service schedules, and translate technical mechanical findings into clear, easy-to-understand explanations for our clients. Your goal is to ensure every customer receives exceptional care while maintaining an efficient workflow in the shop.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly as they arrive, listen carefully to their repair and maintenance concerns, and document vehicle symptoms accurately.
Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed repair estimates and work orders using our shop management software.
Communicate proactively with customers via phone, text, or email to provide status updates, explain required services, and secure repair approvals.
Liaise closely with technicians and the shop foreman to monitor repair progress, parts delivery, and completion times.
Manage scheduling for appointments, loaner vehicles, and bay utilization to optimize daily shop efficiency.
Review final invoices with customers upon pickup, explain completed work and warranty details, and process payments professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and customer waiting area.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience working in an automotive service advisor or customer service role within the automotive industry.
Solid working knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and general repair procedures.
Familiarity with shop management software (e.g., Mitchell 1, Protractor, or Shop-Ware) is considered a strong asset.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to handle difficult conversations or customer inquiries with patience and empathy.
Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean abstract and the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
