Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an Azure DevOps Engineer.

The Azure

DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable deployments across multiple environments. Day-to-day tasks include managing infrastructure as code, administering Azure resources, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to streamline build and release processes, improve automation, and troubleshoot issues in integration and deployment workflows. The engineer will also monitor systems, optimize configurations, and contribute to best practices for DevOps, observability, and incident response.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, with proficiency in scripting or programming languages commonly used in DevOps (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or .NET).
- Candidates should possess hands-on Continuous Integration skills, including experience configuring and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines or comparable CI/CD platforms.
- Candidates should possess System Administration skills, with practical experience managing servers, networking, and security configurations in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Candidates should possess Linux skills, including command-line proficiency, package management, and basic troubleshooting in production or staging environments.
- Experience with Azure services (e.g., App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor) and cloud security best practices is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams are important.
- A background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
