Baycrest Hospital - Part Time Security Guard (Nights) Site Description: Baycrest is an academic health sciences centre providing a continuum of care for older adults, including independent living, assisted living, long-term care and a post-acute hospital specializing in the care of older adults all within one campus. Display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance Monitor for and upscale security concerns within the Emergency Department Assist in developing security plans for high-risk patients Provide security presence and support throughout the Emergency Department Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts Oversee and support patient watch guards within the Emergency Department Work closely with local Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors within the Emergency Department Assist hospital staff with patient restraints as required or directed according to standard operating procedures Adhere to all hospital policy and procedures and maintain compliance Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security,



law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
