Looking for a rewarding career where you can share your expertise as a Lead Solution Architect? As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Digital Solutions, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of developers, and with stakeholders across the Assembly.
Lead the architecture and technical direction of application solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of software developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain architecture standards, development frameworks, and governance practices that promote consistency, quality, and long-term sustainability.
Oversee the technical planning and execution of complex projects, including assessment, solution design, estimation, identifying risks, and resource planning. Align with project managers in the Portfolio Management Office to evaluate, plan and execute projects.
Communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Facilitate architecture reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen delivery practices and technical excellence. University degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of related work experience and education. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in systems development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior architecture role.
Familiarity with current development tools and technologies including Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure, PHP, React, Python, and web content management systems. Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI and modern cloud-based and containerized solutions. Solid experience with project management, and Agile/Scrum.
