The Drafting

Technologist is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and documentation for facade projects from design development through fabrication and installation. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Production Teams, and Site Operations, this role transforms architectural concepts into coordinated shop drawings, fabrication packages, and installation drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable building codes, and Siber's quality standards. Shop Drawings & Technical Documentation Prepare detailed shop drawings for window wall,



curtain wall, storefront, punched windows, and cladding systems issuing computer aided design (CAD) software, Revit or other BIM modeling.

Developing LOD 300/350 Revit models for facade systems in Revit for Curtain Wall, Window Wall and glazing systems. Maintain company BIM and drafting standards. Use Revit appropriately for parametric facade design with Curtain Wall and Curtain Wall Families Prepare installation drawings, Grid layouts and sequencing details.

Develop drawing packages suitable for consultant review, fabrication, and field installation.

Project Coordination

Review IFCs & IDs such as, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and consultant commented drawings. Coordinate design information with Drafting Manager, Project Managers and Engineers. Attend internal project coordination meetings.

Review drawing packages for completeness and accuracy before release to pursue accountability. Detail curtain wall and window wall assemblies. Prepare waterproofing interfaces and flashing details. Incorporate thermal break requirements and air/water barrier interfaces.

Understand sealant joints, structural movement & expansion joints, tolerances, and installation requirements. Maintain organized project drawing files.



Track revisions by filling modification list sheet to maintain revision control throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure drawing registers remain current.

Communicate technical information to: Project Managers Drafting Manager Assist with responding to consultant comments during drawing review. Assist with improving drawing templates. Standardize details and assemblies.

Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Robust working knowledge of Autodesk Revit is a MUST Minimum 3 years of drafting experience (building envelope, glazing, or construction preferred). Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit & BIM modeling.

Ability to read IFCs & IDs drawing. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
