This is a 1-year temporary position with the possibility of extension in the Department of Clinical Engineering. Working independently or collaboratively as partof the clinical team, the technologist provides customer support, performs performance assurance testing, and carries outthe maintenance and repair of complex medical, biomedical, and electronic equipment and systems.

Technologists are also expected toparticipate in on-call and after-hours support based on operational requirements. As a Biomedical Equipment Technologist (BMET) II, you will provide assurance testing, maintenance and repair of complex medical, biomedical and electronic devices or systems.

Saturday/Sunday Required Qualifications: Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology.
Additional Required Qualifications: Experience in critical care settings and operating room setting as well as vendor training/certification on deviceslike ventilators, ultrasounds, microscopes, lasers, heart lung machines or anesthesia gas machines.
Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare IT knowledge such as networking (including various protocols and associated hardware), applicationinterfaces, antivirus/encryption, and experience with computerized maintenance management software and medicaldiagnostic software. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work.
