We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to join our client's team in a hands-on, full-time role. This is a varied position, based in St. John's, NL that combines bookkeeping, payroll, customer service, and general office administration, making it well suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day financial and office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Prepare and issue weekly customer invoices
- Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Prepare and submit GST/HST, payroll, and union remittances
- Assist with month-end reporting and accounting activities
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and company records
- Complete data entry, filing, reporting, and other administrative tasks
- Answer and direct incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Provide general administrative support to management and staff
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the office

Experience & Attributes for Success:

- 2 - 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or a related administrative role
- Previous experience processing payroll and government remittances
- Proficiency with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) or similar accounting software, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow through on responsibilities




- A high level of accuracy and discretion when handling confidential financial and payroll information
