Wm. R. Murphy Fisheries Ltd and Roderick Murphy & Sons Ltd are a well-established vertically integrated group of family-owned companies involved in the buying, selling, and processing of various species of seafood.

We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time, detail-oriented Bookkeeper with full-cycle accounting experience.

Reports to: Senior Bookkeeper and Controller.

Key responsibilities include:

- Transactional data entry for multiple business entities and locations; with frequent intercompany transactions.
- Maintenance of current and accurate information for all modules in Sage 50.
- Scanning of paper-based forms for digital storage.
- Preparation of fishing settlements and payroll runs.




- Account analysis and reconciliation, including all intercompany accounts, clearing and bank accounts.
- Administrative assistance to fishermen, supervisors, and senior management.
- General upkeep of the office such as filing and maintaining sufficient levels of office supplies.
- Other duties as needed.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

- A minimum of post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent experience.
- 2-3+ years of experience.
- Current computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well on a team, but also independently in a fast-paced demanding environment where the ability to multi-task is key.
- Possess excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to both accuracy and confidentiality.
