This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repairs, and troubleshooting electrical system installations within the assigned territory, as well as carrying out maintenance and construction activities as directed. Demonstrated experience with performing electrical repairs, testing systems and reading drafting and interpreting electrical drawings. Working knowledge and skills with the use of electrical tools, equipment, the measurements necessary to meet established standards.

Current valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License is Required.

High School

Diploma or GED couples with one (1) year practical experience in a related field. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.



Demonstrates understanding and adheres to the KCS principles of Employee Engagement, Operational Excellence, Safety & Security, and Economic Performance Repair, inspect and maintain various industrial electrical systems.

Draw and interpret electrical and drawings. Attend and participate in all assigned training, specifically safety and security related. The position will be exposed to loud environments, outdoor weather, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and electricity.
