Pay Range: CAD $25.00 - $29.00/hr Calibration Technician I is an entry-level position that requires either education in the electronics/calibration field or at least one (1) year of calibration experience.

Calibration

Technicians at this level typically can calibrate low-end process instrumentation in up to three (3) disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Dimensional or Pressure). Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction ~ Robust interpersonal and customer service skills ~ Associates degree from college or technical school; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training. Previous experience or training in electronics or machining Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS,

Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc. Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques Working knowledge and competency in at least three 3 disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.) Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site Travel requirement: Learn fundamental calibration skills and techniques Develop skills necessary to advance to Calibration Technician II position, which includes a working knowledge and competency in at least four (4) disciplines and expert competency in one (1) discipline Deliver on Transcat’s Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001) #
