About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager,Facilities Management and Support, the Carpenter is responsible for completing repairs/alterations to building structures, i.e. millwork, walls, ceilings, doors etc., and may include cutting keys, building cores for our lock system (training will be provided).The incumbent is also responsible for in-house renovations and additions, as required. This work must be done in accordance with all codes and Provincial Acts as with all pertinent policies and procedures.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification in the Carpentry trade, issued by the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, or a Certificate of Qualification in the Carpentry trade bearing a Red Seal endorsement
- Minimum two (2) years' related experience, including broad exposure to the construction industry in a similar organization
- Ability to lift in excess of 40 lbs (18 kg)
- Travel between sites may be required, access to reliable transportation required
- Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of certification prior to interview

Hours
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
Compensation and Benefits
$31.55 - $37.31 hourly
