We're Hiring: Carpenters & General Labourers

Seaway Construction / Seaway Kitchen & Bath is growing, and we're looking for dependable, motivated people to join our team.

We specialize in residential renovations, construction, kitchens, bathrooms, and custom carpentry throughout Cornwall and the surrounding area.

We're currently hiring for full time employee positions for both Carpenters and General Labourers.

Typical hours are approximately 40–45 hours per week, depending on project requirements.

We're looking for people who take pride in their work, care about quality, and want to be part of a professional construction team.

Carpenter

We're looking for experienced residential carpenters, as well as motivated tradespeople who are looking to continue developing their skills.

Responsibilities may include:

- Rough and finish carpentry
- Framing walls, ceilings, floors, and other structures
- Installing doors, trim, mouldings, and baseboards
- Cabinet and millwork installation
- Kitchen and bathroom renovation work
- Demolition and renovation preparation
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Flooring and other finish work
- Reading plans, drawings, measurements, and project instructions
- Maintaining clean, organized, and secure job sites
- Working with other trades and team members to keep projects moving efficiently
- Identifying potential issues and communicating them to the project lead

We're looking for someone who:

- Has residential construction or renovation experience
- Takes pride in quality workmanship
- Has strong attention to detail
- Can measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately
- Can work independently while also taking direction when required
- Is dependable and punctual
- Has a professional attitude when working in clients' homes




- Understands the importance of protecting finished surfaces and maintaining a clean job site
- Has a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

Experienced carpenters are encouraged to apply. We are also open to candidates with strong hands-on experience who are seeking to develop their carpentry skills.

General Labourer

We're also looking for reliable General Labourers to support our construction and renovation crews.

This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn and develop skills across many areas of residential construction.

Responsibilities may include:

- Assisting carpenters and other tradespeople
- Loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials
- Demolition and site preparation
- Keeping job sites clean and organized
- Protecting floors, walls, furniture, and other finished surfaces
- Assisting with material handling and deliveries
- Basic construction tasks and tool use
- Assisting with kitchen, bathroom, and general renovation projects
- Following instructions from project leads and experienced tradespeople
- Maintaining a safe and professional work environment

We're looking for someone who:

- Is dependable and willing to work hard
- Is punctual and takes direction well
- Has a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Is comfortable working in physically demanding environments
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized work area




- Is interested in learning construction and developing new skills
- Has previous construction, renovation, landscaping, or other hands-on experience (an asset, but not required)
- Has a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
