Happy's Restaurant & Pub is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to handle customer transactions, process orders accurately, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Accurately take customer orders and process transactions
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and other accepted payment methods
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system
- Provide receipts and ensure transaction accuracy
- Answer customer questions about menu items and pricing
- Communicate orders clearly with kitchen and restaurant staff
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier and service area
- Restock front-of-house supplies as needed
- Follow food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Support other restaurant team members during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer-service experience is an asset
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Basic cash-handling and POS experience
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable and dependable
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
Schedule Full time restaurant schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: $16.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 per week
