SNOW REMOVAL WORKERS WANTED

Maples YardWorks is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our snow removal team for the upcoming winter season!

This is a casual, on-call position offering flexible winter work without a fixed weekly schedule. All workers will be added to a Maples YardWorks snow removal group chat, which will be used to coordinate upcoming snow events and available shifts.

HOW IT WORKS

Typically, 1–3 days before an anticipated snow event, we will send a message in the group chat with details including:

- Expected snowfall and weather conditions
- Start time and expected duration
- Areas/routes requiring service
- Available shifts and expected hours
- Type of work required
- Applicable hourly pay rate

Workers can then respond with their availability for the available shifts. You are not required to work every snow event, making this a great chance for students, people with other jobs, or anyone looking for flexible winter income. Once you confirm a shift, you are expected to show up and complete the shift as scheduled.

Being part of the group chat does not guarantee a specific number of hours or shifts. Work will depend on snowfall, weather, customer demand and staffing needs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

- Snow shovelling and snow blowing
- Operating snow removal equipment
- Applying ice-control products where applicable
- Returning to properties when additional service is required
- Reporting completed work and taking photos when requested
- Communicating with the Maples YardWorks team




- Maintaining a professional attitude around customers and their property

COMPENSATION Pay rates generally range from $18–$25 per hour.

Rates may vary depending on snowfall amount, weather conditions, type and difficulty of work, assignment requirements, experience, availability and staffing needs.

Your applicable hourly rate and shift details will be communicated before you confirm your availability, so you will know the rate in advance.

WHEN YOU MAY BE WORKING

Snow removal shifts may occur overnight, early mornings, during the day, evenings, weekends or holidays, depending on the snow event and customer requirements.

Start times, end times and expected hours may change based on actual weather and site conditions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for people who are:

- Reliable, hardworking and responsible
- Physically capable of outdoor snow removal
- Comfortable working in cold winter conditions
- Safety-conscious and able to work independently
- Good communicators and comfortable using a smartphone
- Available for various shifts when they choose to accept them
- Willing to work hard during active snow events

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation may be required for certain assignments.

EQUIPMENT





Equipment requirements will vary by assignment. Workers may be required to operate snow blowers, shovels, vehicles or other snow removal equipment.

Workers will only be expected to operate equipment they are properly trained and authorized to use.
