Key responsibilities include providing consultations to the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and developing a Mental Health Day Program for children. Opportunities for collaboration with local mental health teams and training medical students are also available. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver telepsychiatry outreach services across Vancouver Island
- Consult on cases in Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service
- Develop and manage the Mental Health Day Program
- Participate in the Early Psychosis Intervention Program
- Liaise with the Child and Youth Mental Health Team as needed
Requirements:
- Medical degree and specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Commitment to teaching medical students and residents
- Interest in research participation encouraged
- Experience in child and youth mental health settings
- Flexibility to adapt to various community needs
